[Because Dawn is a troll, she goes with just voice first. She'll switch over to visual after the initial 'holy crap the computer-y phone thing is talking to me' reaction stops being funny.]

Don't you think it's a little soon for 'good buddy'? Just seems kind of forward to me.

Perhaps the amusement was thwarted by the very fact that it was a computer-y phone thing, leaving an intelligent person to expect this kind of eventual conversation. Admittedly, though, Peter was not thinking a young woman's voice would be the first bit he heard from. There was some hesitation, and lowering of eyebrows, before he closed his mouth over whatever he'd been about to say. Panning through a few of what he discovered were options on the device before answering, he eventually landed on 'visual' in the vein hope that this meant he'd be able to see something from it, not just change how other people saw him ( ... )

Well, sigh. Some serious respect for a fellow troll wars with disappointment before Dawn switches over to visual, giving their newbie a tiny wave and a smile that is not at all even a little bit ashamed.

"No truckers here, gay or otherwise. Obviously. Sorry, I was hoping you'd do the new person 'oh no, are you an evil AI' thing. We have to make our own fun here." She grins. "Here, by the way, would be Taxon. It's a creepy underground city potentially run by aliens. Or robots, but aliens just seems so much cooler."

At the appearance of that face, his eyebrows jumped visibly again in undisguised skepticism that this is what was first to greet him in a bizarre new dimension of white walls. The number of times you watched a movie and the perky chick was the one in on the material? Hardly. Then again, she could just live here. Didn't they say that the alternate realities could have miniscule differences with their own ( ... )
