Ah, the lovely smell of morning; or waking up all ready to start a new day... Arabella treasures these moments of waking up; when the dew is fresh (even if the dew isn't really worth finding in Taxon) and she can get up bright and ready to start a new day; perhaps even creating some water for practice ( Read more... )

It's a good thing Arabella decided against shaking this woman awake. She doesn't wear LISA--the device that renders her natural body electricity neutral--when she sleeps. That would've been a lovely surprise for Gwen to wake up to. Nothing beats starting a morning off fresh like an electrified corpse of a stranger.

She's roused from sleep at the sound of a voice, which immediately sends Gwen into alert mode. She's not the type to spend the night with strangers, and only idiots toy with the notion of spending the night with her. She flips over, sits up, and glares hard. "Hey, lady, why the hell are you in my--"

Not her bed. Not her bed? That...doesn't make sense at all. The room is completely strange to her, as is the blonde woman staring at her. "Whoa, yeah. I'm gonna need a recap here, honey. I...this isn't what it looks like?"

Had she broken in to someone's home and completely failed and fallen asleep? No, she's wearing the clothes she'd fallen asleep in last night. Okay, she gives up.

Ah, probably for the best that Arabella is very controlled then, especially with the whole globe of water thing... Mm, that would've been rather lovely indeed.

"Arabella actually" she grunts, almost annoyed and also sits up; her lips shifting into the closest to a scowl that she can get (meaning: a fairly mild frown), unknown to most it usually takes about ten minutes for Arabella to get up to full happiness mode- before that she's almost annoyed "and I haven't kidnapped you; I don't suppose you know anything about why you're in my bed?"

Arabella is close to giving up, good lord- this is almost like fighting Lathenia again.

She almost scoffs at the very idea of being kidnapped. Please. But, really, she's clueless here. And hey, since they slept in the same bed, introductions aren't out of the question. "Right, uh, I'm Gwen. And honestly? I know it sounds weird but...no."

She gets out of the admittedly comfortable bed and stands up, realizing their proximity and it's making her uncomfortable. She rarely shares any intimate space with another person if LISA's not keeping her safe and touchable. She folds her arms, awkwardly. "Nice place," making for some more awkward.

Arabella almost!glares for a second more and then sighs; extinguishing the water globe with a snap of her fingers and climbing out of her bed in a faintly long suffering way "I would say nice to meet you but this is a odd situation for that... Well, I don't know either; how puzzling."

She just stays by the bed and stares off into space for a few moments before starting slightly at the comment, within seconds she finds herself smiling faintly awkwardly... Well, it's been a good century since she's done that "thank you, I brought it here when I arrived."

Another awkward pause and then she clears her throat slightly "Has... Anything like this ever happened to you before?"
