I've been waiting for this post since I realised you must have gotten back. It's great to hear from you again! And I can't wait to see the many photos and hear the full story. I know that I would also have hundreds of cherry blossom photos after going to Japan.
If only you were coming closer to my area - it would be great to meet! I shall have to visit Amsterdam sometime in the near future.
Aww thanks for the kind words! Just finished uploading all the 'Food' pics in photobucket -I sort them under themes, about 6/7 themes to go now- and will post the link here when it's ready. I've kept a diary on my trip, perhaps I can make a summary of it. Oh well, I have to to that anyway if I want anything published in the studentsmagazine I work for. (all extra money is welcome at the moment...)
Heh, I know you live somewhere in Wales; I've been there back in 2002. Chester and Wrexham, is that anywhere close to you?
Please do let me know if you're visiting Amsterdam, I'm always happy to show you my city. I know the hidden photogalleries and stuff :)
I am really envious of your trip, so of course it'll be great to read the stories of all the places you visited. Hopefully I'll be able to go there when I'm out of uni. By the way, it just struck me that I don't know how old you are...and I don't even think I know your name (obviously don't feel obliged to tell me - I know the importance of keeping personal details safe on the Internet).
I live in Cardiff - in the south, so it's quite far from Wrexham. Actually I've never been to Wrexham before. It's not a popular destination (although Chester is, I think). How did you end up there?
And of course I'd love to pay Amsterdam a visit, especially with an insider to guide me! My brother was there for the New Year, and really enjoyed it.
I'm 25 *shock* but still feels like 18...think you' ll learn more about me if you combine my LJ and LastFM profile ;)
How I've ended up in Wales? Went to see gigs of my all time favorite rockband: Mansun! Saw them on 3 successive days and the first one was in Wrexham, a warm up gig before the try out tour. Followed by Manchester and Stoke-On-Trent. Wanted to go to Liverpool for the 4th gig but unfortunately I was in the middle of my Media project at the time and couldn't be missed in my group.
With another Dutch Mansun fan (the girl who had ' killed a purple muppet for her coat') we stayed over at the house of a friend who lives in Wrexham. Also a Mansun fan ofcourse. He showed us the "holy"* places in Chester and drove us to the gigs and back. (* the places in Chester relevant to the band and their fans, like the guitar shop and the Art School where the singer went to...)
Heh, if I'm going to gigs in Cardiff in the near future you'll be the first to know! And I'll bring one of my camera's with me! :)
