I know I've ranted a lot about graphics, but I'm really, really tired of people treating my graphics badly ( Read more... )

Awww honey, you are so allowed to rant. If I use anybody's pics, I credit them. I can't understand why people don't. I agree that it's friggin' annoying. Like my icon <==== is from TJRpics, and I always source them. *hugs*

Thank you for crediting tjrpics :)

I have only several Tommy and glam troupe pics that I took myself in Tokyo, they're everywhere and I don't mind that I'm not credited for that.

In this case though, I edited those pics, graphics work is involved, how can this person ask for credit for a work that isn't theirs? I just can't wrap it around my head.

I can't either. It's like taking someone's fic and making it yours. Not cool.

Thank you for commenting, in this case the thing I pissed off the most about is the stealing of the creative process that I did. I don't want people to edit my edits and post them as theirs.

I thought it's a general knowledge in the graphics making world, but apparently not everyone knows that.

Yeah, everyone is sorry that this happened. I am sorry too. I was too angry. I shouldn't have raged like that and involved so many people in my rage. My point is written in this post. I locked my other post cos I don't need the world to see more of what I've already put out there.

it is so easy to cred a source. it's SO easy to contact a photog or videog and request permission. made a background a couple of days ago. wrote to the photog to ask permission. she gave it. i'm posting it. it takes nearly no effort to get permission and to add cred. what the photog, videog or creator (like you, taxcha) did takes effort. these people deserve cred.

I know most people don't credit on the internet, they're just lazy.

In this case though, I don't want credit. I don't want people to edit my edits. My edits/artworks are not bases for people to make another artworks and claim them as their own. If they want to use the same picture, they should work on them from scratch, use the original files. You can see what I'm talking about better in my next post.

Thank you.

Me and my friends maintain tjrpics, we work with pics all the time and the consequences of working with pics is ... seeing things I don't want to or finding out that people steals my work.

Credit goes a long way. I'm sure tjrpics wouldn't get this much support from people if we haven't been careful about credit. Credit is a way to show gratitude and respect, and some people needs to realize this.
