Much as I agree with this diagnosis of The Secret it should be pointed out that the claim that Shakespeare "died impoverished, alone, and unheralded" is demonstrably false. His will shows conclusively that he died rather well-off for his time, and though he may perhaps have been somewhat estranged from his wife he was clearly on good terms with his daughter and son-in-law, and the fact that within seven years of his death he had an impressive funerary monument erected to his memory makes the "unheralded" ring rather off-key as well.

I don't know anything about Zeitgeist, but I think it's quite true that we are controlled by an elite, it's just not the one so widely feared and hated, it's one that few people are even aware exists.
