Hilarious, and geeky aside: when he suggested about 7:30? I straight away pointed out that that would allow us to watch Doctor Who before we left. :) His response was that he was thinking of finally taking me up on the offer to watch it at my place. In HD.
lol Awesome.

Good luck for your mom.
And I hope you have a pleasant time at the party. :D

Thank you! Her surgery went well and she safely home.

I will at least try to have fun. The Boy should be entertaining enough, at least.

N'aww. So protective! ♥_♥

I hope I have fun. The Boy is pretty good at entertaining me, at least. (And I think he likes it because I indulge his whole Study of Human Nature thing he gets into when he's out.)

2. Oh boy. All I can picture is Unseen Academicals. I will keep you in my thoughts that day. I hope you do have some fun.

3. What Ashley said, although also, :) your determination. I believe you will succeed.

4. Knee surgery aaah *shudder* I hope she gets through it all well.

2. Hee. Well. I mean. It's not quite that bad. Although - I have just realised that today is the day Newcastle officially clinch the Championship (they were promoted back to the Premier League a few weeks ago - that would've been a worse night) - I suspect Newcastle may be heaving. The match is on now, actually. And the fans will just hang about drinking and celebrating.

3. My internet wives are so good to me! ♥ And I am totally going to succeed. I don't often fight for what I want - but this time there's no stopping me.

4. She did get through it well! All seems good and she is home now.

I didn't know Cemetery Junction was out alraeady. I guess I'll catch it when it comes out on DVD, since I cannot come to the UK to see it now.

I'm really curious about that film because it's set in 1973 and because I saw a scene being shot when I was in London last year. It was a little bit with some people on a double decker bus and was being shot close to the British Museum. I asked a crew member what they were filming and she said it was called Cemetery Junction, but at the time I had no clue what it was, otherwise I'd have taken a better look to see if Christian Cooke or Ricky Gervais were around.

Hope you have a nice weekend. Good luck to your mum for her surgery. *hugs*

I think it just came out in the last week or so. I was really rather pleased with it, definitely look it up when you get a chance.

Thanks for your good luck - Mum's surgery went fine and she is home and happy (if slightly woozy because of anaesthetic).
