Omg omg omg. That is how a series finale is supposed to go! It was epic and detailed and beautiful and crushing and uplifting and amazing and just so DAMN AWESOME.
I was in tears when the museum display was talking about the mysterious Centurion that hadn't been seen since the Blitz, and the picture of him hauling the Pandorica out of the burning warehouse - and then it turned out he was the Night Watchman! Yay! (Though the cynical side of me is a little unsure why it took him nearly 2000 years to figure out how to change his clothes...)
And the wedding happened! Whoohoo! And the Doctor was all "Congratulations Mr Pond" to Rory, and Rory was "No, no it doesn't work like that", and then they were both kind of "Well, OK, this is Amy we're talking about, so, yeah, it really is like that!"
And I love, love, love that their first decision as a married couple is that they're both going off with the Doctor! Very satisfying *g*
Psst! Since they rebooted the universe and Rory is now a real boy again *g*, does that mean they've also sneakily solved the problem of the Doctor rapidly approaching his regeneration limit?
Um, I don't think so. I don't see why it would. Rory is a real boy because he never was plastic, but the Doctor even existing is an anomaly: he didn't change.
