A nasty tailwind is one that blows at exactly the same speed and in exactly the same direction as you while you're climbing a long hill on a stinking hot summer's day thus ensuring that you do so in what is, as far as you're concerned, utterly still air.

Ah. :)

Climbing up Donna Buang the one and only time, the same day I saw snow up close for the first time in 22 years (a few shovel fulls on the side of the road), a gust of wind picked us all up the mountain. That was quite a tailwind, well, until the next switchback.

"2005: A Scottish couple are sentenced to jail after neglecting their children because they spent too much time on internet games."

This is more common than you think. I worked with a guy who went to high school with my son. He told me his sister-in-law and husband spent so much time inside playing on-line games, in the dark with the curtains closed, that their newborn son ended up with jaundice. Sadly, he had also learned at a very young age to entertain himself in his carrier on the floor, because his parents were too *busy* to pay any attention to him. Might interfere with their gaming. This was in 2002-Boise, Idaho.
