Once again, Cara, you have reminded me that humankind is not entirely doomed to a life of ignorance. In regards to your hope that someone might bring us all to see that each being's own worth is not as relative as we are led to believe, I am convinced that no one person can make a change, but it begins on a more intimate level. It will take one human to ignite the fire but, unfortunately, will also take until enough of the forest has died and begun decaying until the flames will sweep over the land in its entirety. Man, by nature, will not go looking until he feels he is without, but since his comfort rests on the approval of others, he is quick to feel hollow and desparate for a substancial new foundation on which he may build his castle of self content. If one enlightened human appears in time to open the eyes of a person whose foundation in the mire has failed him far too often, one human is saved.
