Butter and pumpkins and giglets

Well. Last Friday I had a giglet for the Swindon Wildlife Trust, which was lovely - fewer than twenty people but all really involved; some poetry, a slide show on local nature reserves, (unexpectedly featuring P from the bbq I'd sung at earlier in the year!) and 2 half hour sets for me, totally unplugged, with V beside mostly on acoustic bass ( Read more... )

telynor does Storytelling with the Harp as part of her beginner tuition sessions. If you ever get the chance, get her to teach it. Surprisingly enough, you don't have to be all that good with a harp for it to be useful.

You know, reading this entry I was overcome by a wonderful peaceful feeling. The life you describe seems almost idyllic. Oh, I'm sure you have your share of problems, but you manage to be happy with every little everyday thing and that's what comes through. At least to me. Because of that, I think you're both lucky and wise and so kudos to you m'dear.
