you know, for not catchign up on the backscroll much... we were away for a busy weekend, then came home and had illnesses (P with stomach bug and cold, C with bug, now me with cold) but today everyone's back at work and school and I have the house to myself for a couple of hours for the forst time in weeks. 'Course, I feel grotty, but that can't be helped. Yesterday I had my one-day course in Devizes for the basic Food Hygiene Cert, and the main thing it taught me is that I can't take sitting down all day. The other thing it taught me was that it's actually pretty amazing the human race still survives given the variety and vigour of the bacterial world that's out to get us. I swear I'll never eat again.
Or maybe I will.
Going to go veg now; if anything thrilling has happened, I probably haven't read it. Sorry. Can we have an LJ acronym for 'been away, not catching up on the flist, point me at it if there's anything you need me to see'?
In other news: over thirty tomato seedlings, over a dozen red pepper seedlings (from saved seeds!) and two radishes are thriving. The General has plenty leaves and he and Mr Bide are working on buds. The girls are still lagging behind but little Annie Elizabeth is officially the tallest of the four.
How are all your gardens?
