Is Dreamwidth an alternative to LJ? How does it work? Why people are using it instead of LJ these days?
Is it better for fandom?

Since LJ is a domain under Russia, everyone's afraid that we'll lose LJ soon. So everyone's backing up to DW.

Yeah. I think entries are being imported manually and one by one.
