new tattoos

Yesterday afternoon, I got two more tattoos. The picture is a little bad, only because all I have "digital" wise is my camera phone... so, when I get better pictures, I'll post them. Plus, my dad got a new tattoo yesterday, as well, and I want to get pictures of it.

Anyway... on to the picture... They are on my upper left arm.

Does the other butterfly (the NON American one) signify anything?

Not really. My dad went in for a tattoo, and I figured I'd get one since I knew he'd pay for it. But, I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I got both. I've always liked butterflies, and I was kinda limited by what I could choose because I already have flowers, I don't like the whole sparrow/bird thing, I have a sun/moon (ying/yang), and I'm in the process of designing an astrological/zodiac tattoo. Plus, I wanted something kinda small that would fit on my upper arm/shoulder area.

The coloring isn't as dark as I would like, but I still love it. On the wall/picture, the butterflies looked like they were made of stained glass, and they were just beautiful. And, you can't really tell in that picture, but the trailing stars in the American one are blue, and there are little blue spots in the trails and some white streaks.

David Bolt is the guy who designed the butterfly, and here is what the rest of the butterflies look like in that collection. I may end up getting more, and possibly dragonflies, to make a sleeve out of

Those look REALLY cool! I want a tatoo but I want my dad, who is an artist, to design me one but so far no such luck...;)

Thanks! Just keep bugging him. Eventually, he'll do it for you. I have one more that I want to get designed, just not sure when that will happen.... =)

what do you plan yo do next?

I have a Mickey Mouse tattoo on my left ankle, but the guy who did it did it too small so I'm going to go have it done over larger. (It's just the three black circles) It's my first tattoo, I got it about 6 months ago.

I'm thinking of adding more butterflies, some dragonflies, and possibly faeries to it. I think it'd look awesome.

My first was a tribal-sort-of-rose. I was with a friend getting her third or fourth tattoo, and I figured, what the hay, I've got the money, why not? So, I picked one I liked. The butterflies make numbers 7 and 8. =)

I've also got some other ideas working in my head about future tattoos... I know that I will definitely get two of them, but not so sure about the rest floating around. =)
