I spent the weekend in London, as nightsofcydonia had decided to have a little vaycay in the city and was amenable to company. :D She, looking_spiffy and I hit the Hard Rock Café/store/Vault yesterday and then went to the Imperial War Museum, which is hell and gone from the signage for it at Waterloo East rail station, man. Proper rye and Cokes can be provided upon your rumoured visit this spring, you know.....

Also, I did go to the Tower and see the Crown Jewels long long ago on my one trip to London, and I thought it was the most fascinating thing ever. The security blew my mind. And the jewellery!!! *envies*

Yes! We got there literally five minutes before the guided tour kicked off, so we did that first. And now the only date I can remember is that the last execution on Tower Hill was on April 9, 1747, because he was teasing the crowd about making us start the tour over again whenever we couldn't answer a question correctly, LOL. The Beefeater told us some ghost stories and stuff in the chapel as well. It really was an ace way to spend the afternoon. For a place so steeped in bloody history, it has a really lovely feel to it. It was also the last day of the skating rink, so it was cool to see a whole bunch of people skating just outside the Tower walls as we left. :D
