This is for posterity so be honest

I don't really know where I'm going with this, just that there's some stuff going on in my head that I need to work through and I do that better on paper, so here goes. Liable to be long, rambly, and potentially emo and/or ranty. ( You've been warned. )

uk:work, health:mental, rant, depression, uk:life, parents

Oh, parents...they can be so frustrating. Particularly in this case when you HAVE been so fiscally responsible and yet she doesn't think its enough. ARgh.

I would think a little 'mood disorder' would be almost inevitable at this point. You've spent all that time planning and executing this grand adventure and now that part is done and its all regular real world now, albeit a different real world and I think a little let down is completely understandable. And yeah, I'd be a lot more concerned if you were not wanting to be in the company of friends as well as strangers. That said, take care of yourself, mentally as well as physically. Your neuroses can come here and hang out with my neuroses any time. *hug*

Yeah, you know, I suppose it's a bit of post-concert ennui in a way, too, what with the whole FBHT thing and since I've been to five gigs in the last six weeks and to F1 before that... inevitable. Still not fun, but I wouldn't trade what I've done to avoid it, so. *shrug* What're you gonna do but soldier on?

I don't specifically remember you ranting about it, and then you were well-established by the time I visited so it wouldn't have come up then. It's weird what people feel they're entitled to know - and that they do feel entitled at all in the first place. Bah. What's really funny is when they find out how old I actually am, because most stick me around your age. *g*

Ah, for predictable depression! I had to smile at that - I'm exactly the same. The mood kicks in and I mentally roll my eyes and go jeez, here we go *again*. Can has something different this time?

*Hugs you anyway*

;)

Parents suck sometimes. Yes, they are there to bail you out when you really need it, if you are lucky, but GODDAMN having one around comes with a high price sometimes. *hugs you so hard*

I think Barb has a good point... I would say you have a bit of post-partum let-down, if that makes sense. I know I did when I first moved, and mine wasn't anywhere near as drastic as yours. At least I didn't change freaking countries! Again, as Barb said, take care of yourself. You know better than anyone how serious this is, and we're here for you. We've got your back, sweetheart. *hugs you tiiiiiiight*
