I hear you about the concerts. St. John's rarely gets any big name acts playing here. It sucks. And I can't afford to travel anywhere to see them, nor can I go down to the States, since I don't have a passport.

Yeah, peninsula is better than island, that's for sure. Hfx is *starting* to see more bigger acts, they're just not usually ones that I care to see (like the super-hyped Rolling Stones concert on the commons last year).

Booooo. You can't see it, so the effect is a bit lost, but I have a big ole righteous middle finger for all the things dragging you down lately. >:O >:O >:O RAGE! *buys you a cute pair of rantypanties for the express purpose of getting your RAGE ON* Flame on, sister.

*hugs you up* That being said, I do hope you feel better. Having a wank and a rant is all well and good, but it does get tiring. I love you darling. Feel better. *smooches*

*hugs* I know (and it would be so much fun!) but it's more about the getting to either city - it's a very long, expensive drive and that still usually ends up being cheaper. There doesn't seem to BE a Greyhound service and the train runs around $400 and takes like 20+ hours. The only reason I was able to make the Green Day concert two years ago was because I used airmiles to book a flight. I don't have that option anymore; next round was my mom's and that's the trip she's on right now. *shrug* Sometimes you gotta end up waiting, I guess.

*pets* *smooths down the hackles* MEH on everything. *hugs up*

Smaller bands are pretty good for tours here, but big bands? Yeah, evidently there's nothing further south than London. The only recent exceptions to that rule that I can think of are Green Day and My Chemical Romance (both played the Brighton Centre). Granted, London is only an hour and a half away from me on the train, but it's just generally a pain in the arse. Always takes twice as long as you estimate to get to shows. >.O

*laughs* You've just confirmed the saying, "Nothing in England is very far away." ;-) Boston is slightly closer to me than Montreal; both are 13+ hour drives each way, assuming that stops are made only for car/person refuelling and you don't sleep. It's a long haul in a car by yourself. I'm not sure I really ever want to do it again, at least without a second driver! ♥

(Hackles were that obvious, eh? :-/)
