I almost posted that it should probably be, like, required reading for you LOL. Because this has been part of the underpinnings of the story from the very beginning - right from when Billie retorts to Lars that he'd have stayed home if he wanted pussy, but is thinking that actually, he's not getting any at home, about 2 pages into Joy - that's when all of *this* came into play mentally. So it really formed a lot of the foundation for Billie's thoughts and actions throughout the series; I just hadn't written it down until now. I think I needed some emotional distance from Saints!Billie before I could approach honestly enough what is, in some sense, a story about what a stunningly blind, gigantic horse's ass he can be. *laughs* Which also means that this is an insight into Adrienne and the whole situation that frankly, he just doesn't have.
