Have liquids, Will travel

Constant, mostly low level pain is very annoying and surprisingly exhausting as well. Remember that whole "need a root canal" thing? Well, I was on vacation by the time I'd finished the course of antibiotics, and by the time I came back, my dentist was on vacation. And since I need to have an early morning appointment so as not to miss work, it's ( Read more... )

Oh, ouch. I can commiserate, I've had two root canals. What always gets me when I have dental problems is all the people who complement me on looking thinner. Not being able to eat without feeling debilitating pain will do that to you. :p Also made me grumpy as hell.

I know for sure that United, Northwest, Southwest, and Jetblue all provide you with beverages for free, including soda, water, and orange juice. When I flew to China the airline did too. They have some sort of guideline regarding snacks and drinks, you can probably look it up on the website.

Yeah, I'm flying Air Canada, which I did last time I went to Cali too, and they provided water/juice/pop plus tea/coffee halfway through. I think that's still in place; it was only in 2004!

It's not that agonising (except every now and again), it's just kind of THERE ALL THE TIME and yes, I am on the grumpy side lol. It's making the rest of me tense b/c my body keeps trying to compensate for the pained section, too. Eh, another week and a half now. I might want it to by then but it won't kill me.

My student advisor says it's like the Gay New Years.

*laughs* Yes, I've heard it gets plenty crazy. I'm looking forward to that! As for the flight, I am just hoping that I don't end up seated beside a crazy self-medicated chick this time, like when I last flew back from LA. o.O The flight attendants were *definitely* appreciative that I didn't flip out on her b/c she was irritating the crap out of everyone in a five foot radius and she was *my* random seat mate. :-/

Oh, shoot! Is THAT what you're coming to SF for? Halloween in the Castro? That's kind of awesome, actually. It is a rather spectacular event. I've never gone, but I've seen lots of video and picture and it looks nutty!

PS...notice how it too the term "like the gay New Years" to get me to make that mental connection. LOL. What does that say about what a good description it is ;)
