I'd have come to see you for the whole weekend if you'd wanted me too. Hell, I'd have put you up or driven you around or done anything like I did when you came to LA. But whatever. Let me know sometime when you're coming. Hopefully it's not when I'm in LA.

I'm only just finding out now. _somniac_ only mentioned the whole EEB thing on Tuesday and said I should come, and I wanted to poke around and see if it was even a feasible idea before doing a separate post about it, instead of continuing to discuss the possibility in the comments to my post about planning to be living outside of Canada by the end of 2007. It was a totally impulsive, "Oh I wanna do that, let's see if I can," thing. I was going to ping you about it but I haven't seen you online, in forever actually. I...also fail miserably at geography, because I thought Davis was about a four hour drive away and that would have made it very awkward and inconvenient for you. :-/

I'll be getting there on Friday, Oct. 27 and staying until either Sat. Nov. 4 or Sun. Nov. 5, depending on the timing of the outbound flights. I haven't gotten tickets yet as I literally just decided to do this. The EEB is that first Saturday, but as long as I sleep in some on the Sunday (29th) I'd love to spend the day/evening with you. I think your best option for a costume is to go to a decent exotic shop and just look around. They should have a knowledgable somebody to help you narrow down your selection. (I don't know if they actually have non-sleezy shops in most cities though, I'm used to Reno where we have a large variety. lol.)

Haha, yes, we do have some and I actually know exactly where to go; it's called Night Magic. It's more a question of figuring out before I go looking what I'd honestly be comfortable wearing (before I get swayed into getting something outrageous that will give me anxiety fits when I get to the point of actually having to put it on and go out in public!) and seeing about it not being too expensive, cos I have to cut out all extraneous spending if I'm gonna have any money to spend while I'm actually *in* SF lol. But that is an excellent suggestion. :D

Yeah, the sales people can be awfully persuasive and then you end up buying something you won't end up wearing. After I read your post last night it got me thinking again about trying to go since I could probably whip something up out of bits of costumes I've got hanging around that I don't mind taking scissors to. But money is an issue as usual. :P I've got what, 3 months to save up so maybe I will.
