There is the most priceless thing EVER happening on my street. Or there was; I think they've gone for cake now, LOL. But the kids across the street set up the whole end of my deadend little street as a hockey rink. Dude, the little girl drew the lines and circles and everything on the street, and set up some chairs on one side to be the bench! ( Read more... )

Word, dude, I HEAR you on the having too much shit front. I hate to throw things away, because it feels so wasteful, but at the same time I'm like WTF DO I DO WITH IT?!?! And what good does it serve to just throw it away? Makes me feel American in the worst sense of the word >.> *cultural embarassment aarrrrrgh*

That's another reason for my obsession with packing up and booking it. Less shit to worry about, less complications. *licks gently* *procrastinates with you*

The worst part isn't the stuff piled on my desk (which I've mostly gotten rid of now, go me). It's the boxes I STILL haven't unpacked that are languishing in the garage. Most are books, but even those - dude, some have been in my aunt's basement since I went to uni! I don't even KNOW what all is in there! I found my freaking piano books and I took lessons for six months when I was eleven, for crying out loud.

Awwww, kids!! SOCUTEEEE :) And ughhhhh, housecleaning. I LOVE when my house is sparkly too but I hate the actual "cleaning" aspect. Lol.

Oh wow, I just read the sentence about setting up the street as a hockey rink, and my mind flashed straight to Wayne's World. "Car!" "Game on!"

And RAZZZZZ I just spent the whole damn weekend cleaning out my room. Still gotta hoover all the doghair up, tho'.

Heehee it SHOULD, b/c that is EXACTLY what kids do here. xD Not so much on my street, being as it's two houses long and there's no traffic, lol, but in general, yes. Yelled it many a time.

I'm nowhere near done, lol. But I got a good start, so I don't feel too horrible about it!
