While I did go to bed rather late (early?!), I slept a ridiculous amount and in fact, ended up going right from tea to wine-with-dinner. (I don't really recommend that, btw. My stomach had a "WTF are you doing to me?" moment.) We're doing okay down here. There isn't really *that* much snow, but the winds have turned it into a white-out that's lasted most of the day. It's funny to see all the color-coded traffic maps turn "all clear" green all at once. That never happens.

I could totally use some ice cream, though. We finished off the ginger gelato last night. . .wonder if Store 24 is open.

I know exactly what you mean about watching Billie play guitar. I am totally enthralled every time watching the pick and fret work that he did in the bridge of "Good Riddance" on the AI tour. Sure, he's not Clapton or Page, but the man's come a long way from three chords! This is from Rolling Stone from January:

Oh I know - it's astounding how rich Good Riddance is when it's just one man and an electric guitar. I ADORE that article, it's too too adorable.

Possibly b/c Billie cries like a man. He's not turned into some overfeminized angsting teenage girl, which is the more usual scenario in "Billie crying" scenes. In the Est he's just himself: fucked up rocker whose life is in total flux because he couldn't deny who he really was anymore. :)
