I'm so glad... it was getting so troublesome not being able to rest... but now I've lost Axl again.

[He would never have expected to see her again, not in a million years. It had been so long since they left the city - but it's not like he forgot about her, or didn't want to see her. Quite the contrary, and he welcomed the embrace laughingly, squeezing her gently.]

Megumi! What are you doing here? Are you all right? Do you need help? Is Cursetopia releasing people or--

[He leans back from the hug to look at her, still smiling, and he notices past her shoulder to Zelos. His smile doesn't fade, but transforms nonetheless, into a less jubilant, but soft and appreciative one instead.]

... I was wondering if the two of you might have met up! That's great, let's hang out for a while!!

[He looks back to Megumi.]

Man, it's so awesome to see you again. Have you been here a while?

[He had jumped slightly when Megumi suddenly moved forward, not sure what she'd noticed. When he did see, however, he found himself hanging back all the same. After they'd just been talking about him too, here was Lloyd. And he... didn't seem angry at all...?

Zelos shifted awkwardly where he stood, bringing a hand through his hair idly and trying to decide what to do, what to say. Should he apologise, or act like it had been just yesterday when they last spoke? Should he try to explain? Right, because that had gone so well with Megumi.

... Lloyd was here looking for him, right?

Then, glancing up, he catches Lloyd's eye. Lloyd's smile.]

[And that's all it takes for his anxiety to be forgotten, at least for the moment.]
