BB, I still refuse to watch the one where Romana leaves, which makes me 10x worse than "OMG MA ROZE" peoples.
Though I find with Nu Who that when companions keep coming back it makes me less upset when they leave again. Done the mourning, not really needing to do it again.
Romana's different. ...never seen her departure episode, but I <3 Romana from City of Death.
That's what I was talking about above, with having the major impact lessened if a companion keeps coming back and leaving. To save yourself from the emotional train wreck, you just sort of ride with it... which isn't something I want to do with Doctor Who, I want to be ALL THE EMOTIONS at once.
Hmmm... old age... Perhaps the Doctor goes back and revisits Amy right before she croaks? That'd fill me with fuzzy feelings.
I knew you'd be on the same page as me. WHAT WILL WE DO WITHOUT AMY/DOCTOR??? ;_; But I will agree with Amy having Rory. As far as ships are concerned, I ship Doctor/River before I ship Amy/Rory, but I've really warmed up to Rory, I think... He reminds me a bit of my main squeeze, particularly the nose. <3
Ooh, in some sick way, I kind of like your reasoning there. It'd be a perfect circle ending for us Amy/11 shippers if Amy were to die under the guidance of her Doctor and the TARDIS.... in a sick, twisted way. As far as her dying of old age, I suggested to Teh Nos that maybe the Doctor visits Amy right before she dies? It'd be bitter sweet and very Time Traveler's Wife.
You're probably right there, with the New Year's episode and the Pond's departure. I'm a bit worried with the talks of there being an Easter Episode... the last time we had an Easter episode, Ten left. I have a theory that the 50th anniversary episode, Eleventy regenerates. ;____;
YESSSSS I feel like a horrible Whovian for having this double standard with 10/Rose and 11/Amy, but WHO CARES, MY OPINIONS. In some childish way I'm glad Amy's getting more episodes than Rose did. Rose got, what, 27 including the one Christmas special? Ack, but then she came back, I forgot... Okay, considering CONSECUTIVE seasons, Amy has been in 28 episodes currently and is expected to do at least, what, two-three or more episodes of next season? That's good, yes? Sorta? Maybe? ACTUALLY, NO IT'S NOT. Because Amy/11 OTPPPPP.
Yeah, I think Karen has said that she'd rather not come back after her character has her send off. And I can dig that, but still. ;_; That means when she's done SHE'S DONE. And I'm gonna cry and cry.
