“I want a baby,” Zach said, and Chris wasn’t sure. But it was Zach’s life, and he wanted Zach to be happy, and Zach thought this would make him happy.

“I’ve made an arrangement with an old friend,” Zach said. “We’ll make a baby together, we’ll share custody. She’s having an agreement drawn up just in case, you know, things go sour one day.”

Chris wasn’t sure, but all he said was “When can I meet her?”

***Antonia was delightful, and it was actually really easy to see that they could all get along, the three of them. And there was always the guest house (the one where, the press thought without actually having been told anything of the sort, Chris had invited his buddy Zach to stay while he was doing career-risky, arty things and not much thinking about buying awesome multi-million-dollar mansions like Chris Pine’s). Chris still wasn’t sure about the whole baby thing, but Antonia had a good head on her shoulders and Zach was Mister Responsibility and so Chris did his very best to give them both the benefit of the doubt

It had taken several more attempts, and yet to Chris it felt as if hardly any time at all had passed before Zach was happily holding forth on the subject of Descartes to his unborn baby. The lady herself-who had, unofficially, moved in-appeared to be asleep, so Chris only felt moderately like a creeper when he stepped into the bedroom and settled on the bed by Zach, who was arranged in one of his bizarre yogatastic origami poses with his cheek against Antonia’s very pregnant belly.

“Hey,” Zach said brightly, and then resumed his encouraging, contented murmur. “That’s your Uncle Christopher. Okay, not uncle, that sounds… bad in a way that you won’t understand for a long time. We’ll rethink the titles. But that is Chris right there. He’s going to teach you to wear a lot of ugly plaid and play the guitar. You’ll probably be a lesbian.” A beat, while Chris fought back his snickers and Zach, apparently, realised what he’d said. “Which will be perfectly wonderful, of course, and your daddy will be just as proud of you whether you’

Chris had been invited to the birth, but… yeah. Big frickin’ no. So he was pacing the hospital corridors, just like in the movies, while Zach held Antonia’s hand or whatever the leading man did until it was time for him to faint at an an amusing moment. Not that he really thought Zach would faint. The guy was hardcore. He’d downloaded videos of actual births off the internet to watch in preparation, and had come out of it merely slightly pale and rambling about how women were amazing and epic and indomitable (while looking like he was eternally grateful not to be one

Antonia proved to have an awesome talent for skimming through the enormous piles of scripts people had sent Chris and selecting things that would actually work well for him. He told her if she didn’t want to return to being a philosophy instructor he could totally see her rocking as a Hollywood agent, though she’d probably have to take up swearing like a sailor or people might think her too sweet to be effective. She told him to fuck off and make her some grilled cheese sandwiches, damn him. Chris’s answering smile was one of those weird ones that crinkled his nose.

***Chris woke to an empty bed, and decided that constant expectation of Zach’s return would probably keep him awake so he might as well get up and see what was happening. He pulled on some boxers as a vague gesture towards modesty and padded down to the nursery, where, sure enough, Zach was in the midst of changing the baby. And singing the disco classics medley, lullaby version. Cute. Chris watched as he finished up, then lifted the baby up against his shoulder

Ever since he was a young boy, Remus knew that he couldn't have children. He was a werewolf, and therefore was required to jump through hoops in order to request forms to request forms to have children, which would then culminate in the Ministry's denial of any one of his requests. As a werewolf, he was also less fertile than the average human, and not as sexually compatible with pureblooded humans. If he did manage to have children behind the Minstry's back, then he would have to have miracle sperm in order to impregnate a female and then hope like hell that there wasn't a miscarriage

Hi! I was hoping I'd get your fic done by today, but no luck :( But I just wanted to tell you that one is going to come, it's just grown a little larger. It's a TSN RPF fic, and I'll post a link to it here after it's done.
