Dera has too much crap
SO DERA HAS A LOT OF CRAP WITH HIS LATEST UPGRADE. I mean. Seriously, there's so much stuff I cannot remember it all and I didn't even notice part of it until I was looking through the volume raw. I WAS SHOCKED. So this is a list for reference so I stop forgetting half the stuff he can do now.
So Dera has this system of weapons called Sistema C.A.I. It's a lot of stuff. Seriously, check out all this stuff. You can't even actually see it all there! Especially the flame types since there's only black and white images of that. Gokudera is able to use five flames, with storm as the main one. The other four are rain, thunder/lightning, cloud, and sun. Basically he can coat his storm flame with one of these other types for a bonus ability! A quick rundown:
Storm: The basic! Storm flames have a degenarative nature. They are the destructive flame, so I assume they're the ones that feel most like actual burning. STRICTLY DAMAGE.
Rain: Rain flames have a tranquil nature. They will calm you the fuck down. When Dera adds these flames to his attack it basically means he can somewhat neutralize energy-based shields and attacks to allow the storm flames to break through and fuck you up. :|b This is the flame pairing Dera uses the most, and it's what he uses in his shields. Weak against really fucking hardcore shields/attacks.
Thunder/Lightning: The most solid of the flame types! It's electric and zappy, so clearly it will fucking electrocute you. Apparently this is Dera's strongest attack, but we don't actually get to see how amazing it is because Gamma did something MORE AMAZING and cockblocked him when he used it in battle. We do know that it is very phallic though. And I assume solid means it hurts even more or something. Good for shielding?
Sun: The sun is activation! It's a healing type flame! And really energetic! Dera can't use any of the healing qualities (yet) but he CAN use it for a rocket firing machine gun. Rocket. Firing. Machine. Gun. The sun flame activates the rockets at irregular patterns so predicting when they'll hit is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. (EXTREEEEEME) Also, they explode.
Cloud: Cloud is propagation! It's so badass it will fucking clone itself or some crazy shit like that to make EXTRA SURE IT FUCKS YOU UP. Look look. Totally unthreatening right. OH WAIT. This is the Rarely Miss attack or something. I assume that each of those propagated shots is actually weaker than the other attacks Dera can use, but it's still an awesome attack because YOU ARE GETTING HIT MOST EVERY TIME. He likes to use this one at close ranges though.
Okaaay done with flame types. On to the other stuff! There's five bone hoops, one of which he uses as a platform to zip around on some of the time. Otherwise it functions as a shield the same as the rest of the hoops. Kind of. He's using them offensively there (having maneuvered them to trap the foxes there) because he's Gokudera Goddamn Hayato and he can do that. Also the shields just float around according to whatever Gokudera wants. Like he telekinetically controls them or some crazy shit. WE DO NOT QUESTION THIS but he can totally slam them into people or layer them for hardcore shielding.
Moving onnn. The last thing (I THINK?!) that you can't actually see are the contacts that Dera's wearing. They give him magic godmode vision. Look at all the shit he can see. Basically it just means he's THAT MUCH BETTER AT TARGETTING. AND DODGING. As long as he can actually see, anyway.
Uhhh and then there's the skull which there isn't a lot to say about other than that's what he uses to fire all the different flames with.
--oh wait there's Uri too. This is my kitten. THE KITTEN. But it takes sun flames, presumably strong and pure ones, to get that form activated so it won't show up in fights any time soon. STILL BADASS THOUGH.
I. I think I remembered everything. too much stufffff. ANYWAY. DERA IS STILL TOTALLY BEATABLE he's just fucking annoying to deal with when he's got all this stuff to fall back on. I swear Amano must've felt bad for making him lose basically every fight ever so she gave him all kinds of cool stuff. (AND THEN HE STILL ONLY VERY BARELY WON THE FIGHT HE SHOWED THESE SKILLS OFF IN. Or maybe tied it. We didn't even see the proper end wtf)
