No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

I'm half-settled in my new flat now. It's the second time I've had to move in the last 10 months.

My mistake was that when Aya came to me in a panic because his team had found out he was a telepath and freaked out, I told him that they'd probably just been in shock at the time and calmed down since. He checked them out, found out it was so, returned to them, and was so relieved that they didn't think he was such a freak after all that he answered all kinds of questions that he probably usually wouldn't have. He told them that I'd trained him and to make me look better to them said that I wasn't happy with Schwarz. He didn't tell them where I lived, but I didn't want to take any chances that they'd get it out of him somehow or get lucky following him someday. Sir Richard wanted me to join up!

(Of course they ended up accepting Aya's telepathy and Sir Richard wanted mine. Sir Richard and Nana would have seen the tactical potential, Ken sees Aya as his shinigami of luv, Chloe wants to get into Aya's pants, Yuki is attached to Aya, Michel and Free are weird, and Kurumi wouldn't dare disagree with any of them.)

Thus, I broke my link to Aya and moved to a flat in London he doesn't know about. No more redheaded kitten coming over to argue, talk, or makeout with me. Nevermore to show up and criticize my housekeeping efforts to the point that sometimes he'd do it himself, which could be quite a show. Dammit, I miss him, and I miss my home.

I would have been better off if I'd kept him to myself that day he came to me in a panic. He never would have thought of going back to his team on his own. Instead I did the kind thing, and look what happened.
