Being very in to cats as well, some thoughts and observations:
1)It sounds as though Plato finds this blanket kneeding particularly striking and beautiful. Perhaps he just wishes you to observe his strange kitty performance art.
2)The thing with the mint has a somewhat mundane answer: cats have much more highly developed senses of smell and things like mint, ginger, sage and cat nip are quite stimulating to them. Some cats take to such things more or less by preference. Omni, is also quite enamored with minty stuff.
3)Perhaps, just like us, Plato looks under the oven because he wonders what kind of adventures we could have were we small enough to journey underneath.
4)Omni also does the moans in the dark and then running to my voice and I, too, just do not get it. Let me know what you come up with there.
