it was a productive monday. i got my hair color done (it's rainbow fantastic-ness), and my legs waxed! and of course as a result of that, made pretty much no money. not that there were many customers today anyway. but i don't even care my total was only $96 today (a normal day is anywhere between $200-400 and no i don't get to keep all of that ( Read more... )

wow, maybe you should leave, start your own practice, and charge a few bucks less...then you get to keep the money all to yourself :-P

doesn't really work like that. i need supplies and a place to work, which my company provides me with. they also provide me with plenty of walk-in business to supplement what business i already have. i make 60% of what i bring in, plus tips, plus $100 biweekly bonus. i made $400 friday night (my cut of it including tips), which works out to almost $50/hr, i am in no way complaining, just trying to explain how shitty monday was in comparison. everyone always asks me if i'm going to open my own salon one day, to which my reply is "hell no". it's wayyyy too much of a headache owning your own business.
