How the family is, about my cousin who lives in a small three room apartment with his wife, big brother, his sick mom and his dad. About how they are waiting for an ex-employer to pay out a huge amount of money to them (they've been talking about that pay-check for years now

no I don't mind, they live in Bogota, capital of Colombia, south america and I live in Scandinavia (Sweden)

you have to pay extra if you want a refund guarantee and since my mom (who bought the tickets) didn't have any intention of doing so she didn't buy one.

tbh, I mostly agreed to go because I felt bad for not going the last time my mom went, three years ago.
I also thought I'd make an extra effort to get to know a few of my relatives there, and see my grandparents before they pass on.

it's only that now when it's hit home how far away from my comfort zone I'll be, I don't wanna go.

I won't go until june next year so I have a while to digest this, but thank you for you well wishes (man, the internet withdrawal is gonna be horrible is just know it!)

one of the main things for me is that I don't know a lot of Spanish, I'm gonna try and learn some on my own before we leave and that will probably help with the comfort zone thing.

it's waiting to take the plunge that's the nerve wrecking part for me not the plunge itself
