Jason smiled and gave his head a slight shake. "No, but there is a high risk I might if you keep doing that thing to my hair." He lifted his head just slightly so he could see her face. "Are you okay? Not too cold or anything? We can go back whenever you like, you know." But as the words came out of his mouth, he realised they were reluctant and he wasn't actually ready to leave yet at all. This felt amazing and it really had been what he needed to drag him out of the funk he had let himself fall into ever since Erin's doomed phone call. It had taken his mind of things, even briefly, and was starting to feel in the same realms as JC... he wanted more of this

JC just smirked, making no attempt to stop the fond strokes. "No, not cold. You make a pretty good hot water bottle there, Street. I'm going to get used to having you around to keep me warm like this," she teased and dipped her head to kiss his forehead. "And no, I don't want to go back just yet. It took a lot of effort to get you here in the first place. I'm not cutting it short. In saying that, if you want or need to, just say the word, love. I'm not sure how beneficial it is for your body to be lying around on the ground like this."

Her fingers moved just a little lower so she could adjust the collar on his jacket which had curled up. "You can ask me anything you want, Jason. Anytime," she added for emphasis. "No appointments necessary."

Jason chuckled and relaxed against her again. "I got into this position lying around on a ground," he pointed out. "And it's okay for now. I promise I'll let you know if I need to make a move. The grass under the blanket is soft enough anyway. You chose well with this park."

He cleared his throat softly, wetting his lips. "I know whatever this is started as a one night stand, which is cool. It was a really great one night stand. But I'm really enjoying this and for me it's sort of gone beyond the whole one night thing..." He paused so he could look up and meet her eyes again. "I just wanted to know if you were interested in it being maybe something more than just a fling... of sorts. Forgive me for sounding totally clueless here. I'm not exactly the most experienced person in the world. And if you wanted it just what it's been then, that's okay too. I won't be offended at all. I'm just really enjoying your company."

JC carefully shifted so she could raise up onto her elbow and see his face better. When he looked up and met her eyes she smiled, brushing her fingertips across his cheek. "To be honest, love, I didn't really want to force you in a direction you weren't interested in. I couldn't quite clearly tell if you were looking for a relationship or not, but only for the pure fact that you're still trying to find your feet in this neck of the woods. I didn't know if you would want to start anything when you already had shit on your plate. So, to answer your question, yes, of course I'm interested. I haven't quite enjoyed male company as much as I have with you in a very long time. Maybe we could just give it a shot, take things slowly, and see how they go
