Also, if I am going to be at work all day, and then you know I am going to a softball game, what does it matter what time I am coming home tonight? I ask, and she just tells me, "Call me when you are about to leave" What does it matter? I wish there was someone to explain these things to me.
Your mom just worries, that's all. It's understandable for a mother to want to know what time their kid will be home, because if you say a specified time and she hasn't heard from you, she can easily accuse you of partying.
This is true. I seem to never think of things like that. I'm glad you do though. And I'm glad you tell me. You always think logically. =) I felt bad too, because even though it wasn't that big of a deal, and I didn't mind calling, I totally forgot. That is until I walked up the stairs and saw her. I told her I had forgotten something, to call her. She laughed, and said "I know. It's okay."
Thank you for being the one person I can always count on to tell me the little things that make a huge difference. I can't wait to see you in 5 days, for what will seem like ever, but soon enough won't seem long enough!
