Parker enters the house and goes to his room to begin packing. He's got to check out, he needs to say goodbye to Lyra... he frowns to himself as he folds his clothes neatly.

Lyra's in her room, reading through a book and sitting on her bed.

Parker has his clothes all together and grimaces. It's time.

He heads down the hall to her room and knocks on her door. "Lyra?"

"Hi!" Lyra grinned, lifting her head from her book. "How are you!"

He smiles a little bit at her. "Pretty good. What are you reading there?"

Triv notes that he's packed and ready to head out. "I see you heard. I sent her on a wild orc chase - with any luck she won't come back, but if she does I can arrange something else."

She offers him a small, intricately detailed owl amulet on a leather string. "Don't lose this. If you ever need somewhere to just hole up, somewhere that there's nobody to get caught in the crossfire, there's a portal in the Nexus that will take you to my place. This will get you through the wards and into the house, and I'll be there as soon as I can. Don't try going in the house without it unless I'm there, I have some serious defenses in place and you could get pretty badly hurt."

He pales considerably. "Her? Doctor Lee? She's here too?"
He accepts the amulet and clenches the leather string in his fist. He nods. "Thank you. I'll remember." Damn it, she's here too? Shit... shit... he though it was just the goons from Town, but Doctor Lee? This is not....

"Ah, then you hadn't heard. I wouldn't worry too much - I pointed her towards Sauron's last known dimension. Since orcs are rather fond of the taste of human, her odds of survival aren't all that great." Her smile is downright nasty.

"If she does make it back alive, she's probably going to be a bit more wary about going hunting in other dimensions - and considerably more careful about the Nexus in general. Either way, she should be delayed enough that she'll have a lot of trouble picking up your trail again, and I'll do what I can to confuse the trail. Or just dispose of her, that works too. Anything I should watch out for from her?"

"She's sneaky. And real smooth. And just... cold. She's not human, I don't think." He shakes his head and grits his teeth.

"I hope that trick worked. I'm not taking any chances though. I'm gone."
