Red wine makes spaghetti sauce taste better than chocolate

It's true. I had a half-glass of wine leftover and made some spaghetti sauce last night with lots of garlic, mushrooms and zucchini. I could live off this sauce for a while, it's so good.

And no Karl, I wasn't suggesting that anyone should put chocolate in spaghetti sauce to make it taste better. :-P

I hardly even have any red wine open; it gives me a nasty headache if I drink too much...but now I have an alternative to pouring it down my neck :) I'll give it a try.

I wonder if the same stuff that causes headaches survives the cooking process? I'm not sure.

I love, love, love red wine in spaghetti sauce. You need to move closer to me so we can have dinner together all the time. You're always making something delish. We could all sit, eat and drink wine together! :-)
