Is anyone planning on attending
San Diego Comic Con this year? We're all still waiting on the final programming schedule to be released, but it looks like enough scheduling information has leaked for me to know I'm going to be spending more time in line than usual (and that's saying something). Hilariously, I've been working out my schedule for the conference I'm attending next week and I've made pretty damn sure that none of the workshops I'm attending are in the same rooms as panels I went to during last Comic Con, because I may burst into tears if I found myself in Ballroom 20 knowing all the amazingness that will be there the week after AND I CAN'T TAKE PICTURES OF THE PRETTY. ... OH MY GOD I JUST HAD A THOUGHT. Is there any way you could buy a ticket for me for next year? I'm not sure how that works, but I would happily send you money via PayPal. Can you tell I'm desperate? >.I still need to play Portal 2 and see X-Men First Class. Maybe one night when I'm in San Diego next week I'll have to venture out to a theater and go see it so I can partake in the fandom fun ( ... )

In the end, I did the Hall H line for Doctor Who on Sunday. We stood in line at around 4:30 AM and were still a ways back from the podium, to the point where it was easier to watch the screens than the people on stage.
Next time, I'm just sleeping in line, so help me...
As for buying you that ticket, I would have if I could. :( I wasn't even able to buy a ticket for myself; they capped the tickets sold at 2,500 a day, making ticket sales the rough equivalent of hosting the mother of all Hall H panels in Ballroom 20. People were in line forever.
/not bitter at all
But yes! Portal 2 and X-Men: First Class I'm both happy to recommend. The latter has its flaws, but I still love it anyway. The former, well, the former is everything that is good and glorious in this world, so there's that.
Bah. Hopefully we can both make it next year. God, I hate SDCC's online ticket sales.
