Interesting. I've read quite a few of your fics and I like them all a great deal (I'm going to try to secure a copy of your book as well!). As for what you said about your Murdock pup (since that's the Marvel character I'm the most familiar with), I think you get him really well. I'm actually a fairly new Daredevil fan who's managed to plow through the entire history of the comic in the last year, so I should "know" him, and I think he feels very much in character the way you write him. And that's coming from someone who gets a little annoyed when fanfics are too far removed from canon (though a little artistic license is totally fine). I just find him to be such an intriguing character, psychologically, "professionally" (both sides of the law), and in terms of his rather unique "view" of the world. Not to mention his love life... :)

Anyway, have a Happy New Year and good luck with all of your projects!

Yeah, I'm totally going to pick it up. Someone else recommended it to me as well. :)

Thank you--I'm glad you like my fics, and I hope you enjoy my book if you read it. :)

Hee! I was the same way when I discovered Daredevil a few years ago. I watched the movie and loved it, then went out and bought a bunch of TPBs right away. (And now I have a shelf of DD comics and, like, no real knowledge of the rest of Marvel comics canon, lol.)

And that's coming from someone who gets a little annoyed when fanfics are too far removed from canonThanks again. :) The way I see it, so many writers have written their interpretations of Matt (and Foggy, for that matter) in the comics, I think it's fair to create my own fanon as long as I stay true to the essence of the characters. That's kind of my view about writing comics/comics-movieverse fic in general. It's more important to me to get the sense of the characters right/to make them believable ( ... )

LMAO! AND HERE I WAS, TRYING TO BE SNEAKY AT FIRST. (But I have this little problem with keeping secret identities. I could never be a superhero.)

AND ZOMG!11! I knew there was a reason I liked you, but I couldn't figure out WHY. Now I know it is because of my wheelchair fetish! DUH. (That and your HAIR.) :P

...Seriously? I love Herc in canon and adopted him as a muse because I wanted him to balance Logan's angst. *g* Herc would so totally bitch-slap him.

Love you back! But only because of your wheels.

I don't watch Friday Night Lights, so I can't speak for characterization, but I read the cheeseburger one (because how can I see a link with that text and not click it?) and I laughed so hard. That's awesome. (Also, I remember commenting on that bit of advertising "genius" in my journal at some point. OMG, sooooo wrong.)

Hee, thank you! Herc is way too much fun to write, because he's the kind of character who will pretty much say anything in canon. I love him. :)

And yeah, McDonald's was really asking for it with those ads. I wonder what they could POSSIBLY have been thinking!

...Btw, I highly recommend Friday Night Lights. It's awesome.
