Since I'm not participating in helping the local animal shelter make blankets for all their homeless cats and kittens this year, I thought I'd try my hand at
knitting a scarf for Special Olympics. Sponsored by Coats & Clark, the goal is to give each athlete, delegate and goodwill ambassador a scarf to wear at the opening ceremonies of the winter games held in Idaho.
I've chosen a fairly simple, but pretty
pattern that I can whip out quickly while watching TV. Had I found out about this project a little sooner, I would've done something much more elaborate. However, since the scarf has to be in the mail no later than Jan. 10 (I'm figuring), I can't really get too fussy this time around.
ETA: It's about damn time, LJ! Sheesh.
