Happy Birthday, yazzle! I hope you had a great one! As an artist, I have a slight obsession with charcoal. And, yeah, I LOVE it, he looks so wonderfully broody. :D

As an artist

Oo! Oo! Do you have any of your stuff posted somewhere? *poke pokes* ^______________^

I have a slight obsession with charcoal

I love the idea of charcoal, and I LOVE looking at other peoples' charcoal work, but this is the first time I've used it myself in ... gah, since high school I think, lol. Usually I'm more of a paint or pencil person, but I was seized by a fit of ADD boredom and had to try something new-ish. *grin*

Anyway, thanks so much for commenting! I'm happy to hear you like it. :) This pic was making me fretty since it's outside the norm for me, and because it's rather dark and moody. So I'm glad the brooding works for you and that it's not ... depressing. ^-^

I don't really have a collection of art posted anywhere ...I post bits and pieces in random places, nothing too serious any more ...I haven't given art a serious go since 12th grade, when I made the mistake of taking an art class. I discovered that art classes apparently break my art-fu. :D

Charcoal is definitely a strange medium to work with. It always throws me off because I can't erase, which CAN be a good thing. You did a lovely job, though, especially for it being something you're unfamiliar with. :)

I just wanted him to sit and look pretty, but noooo, he had to start brooding, lol.

Oh, but he is so very pretty brooding!

I am oddly mesmerized by the window and the wisps of steam, though. So pretty! So delicate! This is really different and interesting, very appropriate for Bruce. Love it!

Oh, but he is so very pretty brooding!

... and apparently he knows it. :P Now I'm seeing him practicing brooding in the most attractive manner possible (at least for Clark's, um, benefit ^-^), sort of the way starsandsea says that he practices making shadows, lol ...

Yay, glad you liked the steam! and that the window is recognizable as a window, lol The steam was one of my favorite parts. XD

And, of course, glad you liked the whole thing, too! ^-^ Thanks for commentinnggg! *hugs*

Aah! Starman and Ultraman in the same sentence! Too weird! XD a;lskdf I wasn't able to get on a computer until now and have been checking the internet (kind of) on my phone and I saw this and I was like, "balhklsdjf!!" It is beautiful and lovely. I downloaded it immediately and now it is my phone's background. :D It's just ... so gorgeous, gah. I can imagine him sitting down for his tea at 5 in the morning or something, just back from fighting crime. So beautiful. I love your style. So pretty. a;dslkf *babbles on*

Woo, and you noticed the blue eyes! I wasn't sure if anyone would, since they're such a small part of the picture. Glad you like them. :) And thanks for commenting again!

Starman and Ultraman, Starman and Ultraman, Starman Ultraman StarmanUltramanStarmanUltramanStarmanUltraman *KABOOM*

Hmm, I think I just blew up half of North America doing that *brushes debris from her shoulders* You're right, very weird indeed.

...

...

Okay, I blame the above on the fact that I haven't eaten yet and am therefore not right in the head. In any case, I am sooooo happy you like the picture!!!! *dances around* Ahh, and, and this -->

I downloaded it immediately and now it is my phone's background.

*makes lots of incoherent burbly noises of glee*

I can imagine him sitting down for his tea at 5 in the morning or something, just back from fighting crime.

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking of! *grin*

Anyway ... happy (belated now) birthday again! Woo! Thanks for babbling in my journal, it made my day! XD

Ah! That's wonderful!

I was sitting at an angle that the screen showed the whole picture as mostly black, and as I shifted the screen transformed it to what I think you intended. It was very cool, the transformation.

The detail on the mug, too, makes me wanna bust out our kettle. I don't have tea often, but when I start drinking it again it's all I have.

Yeah, I can definitely see that happening, lol. I didn't realize how dark this picture was overall when I posted (probably because I'd been staring at it so long and had gotten used to it), but now when I go back to look at it, I feel like I'm walking out of the sunlight into a dark room--my eyes have to adjust before I can make out what's there, LOL.

Anyway, I'm glad you found an angle that works ... and that you enjoyed the transformation! :P I guess it could be like one of those holographic pics where you tilt it different ways and different things show up ...

I don't have tea often, either; I'm too much of a coffee person (I need that ultra-concentrated caffeine! lol). But I do like it when I drink it; it's very soothing. :D And the accoutrements that go with it (kettles, tea cups, saucers, etc.)--and the traditions--are just too awesome for words. ^-^

It's a very Bruce Wayne effect to have. I can see him sitting in a dark room meditating, or trying to. And Clark just wants to turn on the lights and rip away the curtains that make the whole place drab.

:]

I drank a lot of tea in high school because I thought it would be very characteristic of who I wanted to be. Basically, quite ninja-like and heroic. Now the student in me craves the coffee (I have Starbucks far too often) and I do enjoy tea but it's more of a winter drink. We're in our rare hot season, so tea is not so common. When September hits and frost starts to hint of happening, I think I'll return to stocking our cubboards full of tea.

Bruce/Tea!!!! So very very pretty....

I love the wisps of steam! And Bruce's hands... And I just noticed that Bruce's eyes are the only thing coloured! Wonderful... He looks like he's about to cry! Clark needs to look after him more! ;)

Bruce/Tea!!!!

Mina's idea! And I just noticed you have a Bruce/Tea icon (the Alfred Educated one ^____^). Whee! *high fives*

I love the wisps of steam! And Bruce's hands

Yay! As I was telling Jen, the steam is one of my favorite parts. *grin* I was quite pleased with how Bruce's hand turned out, too. :)

He looks like he's about to cry!

I thought that, too, but I wasn't sure if that was just me reading into my own picture too much, lol. Poor Bruce, crying into his tea! He must have had a hard night; Clark really does need to check up on him more!

Anyway, thanks so much for commenting, especially right after your operation! I see you're not wasting any time getting to those finger wiggling exercises. *grin*
