Indeed! They were adorable once I got used to them, but when we first arrived, it was a little unnerving ... I knew we would be close to them, but I didn't realize we'd be that close. :)
I lived in Okinawa, Japan for a little over four years and I've been to a few other places. But Oki, man I loved living there. Well, except for the typhoon's, they sucked but hey! drinking parties for days. :D
Monkey's are cute but they creep me out too. They have no idea of personal space. :)

Ooo! Okinawa! What were you there for? *poke poke* Sorry ... don't mind me and my curiosity! I've always wanted to live abroad--I can't help asking about it! *grin*
They have no idea of personal space.
The monkeys have invaded my three foot bubble noooo!!!!
Did they let you touch them, or were they skittish?
No, we couldn't touch them because they apparently bite when touched. But they weren't skittish. And even though we had to keep our hands to ourselves, the reverse didn't quite apply, lol ... the friend I was with had these bangles around the hem of her skirt, and one monkey came right up to her and started pulling on them!
The monkeys I saw in Mexico tried to pee on my sister.
Agh! Now that would not be cool.
This is in Europe right? I had no idea they lived there.
Yep, Gibraltar is on the southern coast of Spain. I didn't know monkeys lived there either until I visited! I forget what the tour guide said, but I assume they must have been brought over on a boat or ... some such thing. *grin*
Spain sounds romantic, and mountains are hot! Then again, I rarely see mountains. Hahah.
I didn't think Mexico had monkeys either, but there they were. At least two kinds. We saw some in a forest-based zoo. Then the wild ones while we were zip-lining and repelling.
Our guides never told us not to touch them, but we kept our hands to ourselves. Apparently the wild monkeys don't come close to people so the guides were surprised. Our group followed the standard rules with wild animals.
Some places though have very people-friendly animals. Some places in the States that I've seen had squirrels and rodents who run right up to you for food. :3
Wow, Gibraltar is even more impressive than I would have expected. And the monkeys are indeed cute and scary at the same time. :) The blue of that ocean! (Yes, I'm thinking of Clark's eyes here, so sue me...)

Oh, the pictures do not even begin to do it justice, lol. It's just ... massive! And at the top, it's actually a little freaky. I was so convinced that, while driving both up and down, we were going to hit a bump in the road and go tumbling over the edge ...
The blue of that ocean! (Yes, I'm thinking of Clark's eyes here, so sue me...)
Ahhh!
!!!!
That blue is perfect for Clark's eyes! How did I not think of that when I was looking at it? I am such a bad fangirl, lol. ^-^
Oh, Gibraltar is spectacularly gorgeous! I had a disposal camera during the first half of the trip, and I had illusions of making it last for the entire two weeks, or at least until I got back to Paris. I might have succeeded had it not been for Gibraltar, which demanded that I take pictures of it until my film ran out, lol.
