I'm sorry to bother you on your lj, I should have tried to find a post of yours on hp100 but ended up here. You don't know me but i've talked to florahart about this and she said you were in charge of next weeks challenge so I should talk to you.

I'm the mod of hermione100, dramione100 and hg_slyth100 and i'm wanting to get communities united for a challenge for this upcoming week. What I mean is that I would like to have other communities join my three please the 7 i've already talked to the mod's of to band together and announce the same challenge for each community. By doing this we could not only pimp the our fellow mod's communities but we could also generate more interest in not only our communities but also in others, along with hopefully incenting more people to write for the challenge. Would you be interested in participating with us? And if you mod any other drabble/fic communities would you be interested in them joining in as well? I understand that hp100 has plenty of members and this really isn't all about garnering more membership, it's also about uniting together to

Hi!

I'm a fan of plugging other comms and motivating people to write fic, but I'm not sure that a bunch of communities posting the same challenge is necessarily the way to go.

Here's my thinking: It seems like having the same challenge all over would cause a LOT of cross-posting, which could do more harm than good (I have seen this effect around holidays when challenges are usually the similar in different comms). If people already have several 100 comms on their friends page, they are just going to be seeing the same drabbles over and over. If they then went to check out the new comms that they don't have on the f-list, they are just going to see more of the same and there won't be much of a reason to add them. I think the diversity of the 100s is part of the appeal of wanting to join all of them rather than just one. Hp100 would take the brunt of the cross-posting since it is the most general without requiring a certain pairing or character

I had completely forgotten about this being a holiday weekend so since people go out of town etc for these types of weekends we'll be doing it the 9th/10th of July.
