Purely Objective

So I’m back from my second viewing of POA. A full review will be forthcoming, but for the moment I thought I’d leave you with a list of the pairings I noticed. In order of first appearance (in my interpretation, and ordered as well as I could remember):

OMG Theirloveissocanon!!1 )

I think you missed Hermione/Draco -- when she says to Hagrid that Draco has to be taken to the hospital wing immediately after he's been attacked by Buckbeak.

Are you planning on seeing it a third time?

And OMG! You spotted the Remus/Lily too! That speech was so full of double entendre. Must see it again!

You're right, I did also notice the Hermione/Draco, but forgot to note it.

Yes, I'm planning on seeing it a third time. :D

OMG the Remus/Lily was SO there. It wasn't even about interpretation. It was just THERE. Everyone I know saw it. A little odd, considering that in the books, Remus was never mentioned as being close to Lily, though his relationship to James was discussed as in depth as anything else about Remus.

Not that I caught. Which one was Boy #1?

Dude. The Remus/Lily was so squicking me out. But I think the Remus/Sirius counts as canon now. As much as anything in the movie does. I liked it, but it had so many bad parts. It left me feeling...blah. The good parts were really good, but they failed to outway the stupendously bad parts. I've been procrastinating putting up my own review. Maybe tomorrow...if I manage to beat this essay into submission. *le sigh* My second viewing's going to have to wait until Wednesday.

Boy #1 was that random black kid who kept having the lines (although Dean and Seamus and Neville and the Twins and... were there...). He said the bit about the grim in Trelawney's class and also when Seamus brought the Daily Prophet with news about Sirius he said the bit about trying to catch Sirius is like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands blah blah blah imsodeepandwhothehellami?

Dude, I'm sorry, but that movie was BARELY canon, if at all. I liked it, it was entertaining, I'll probably see it again, but it's obviously not the book. More when my review gets posted. As far as Remus/Sirius, it's about as real as all the other pairings I posted. (Although, if I ranked them by frequency, it would be up there.)

Ooooooh. Him. I was wondering who that kid was. At first I wondered it they had a new actor playing Dean, but then I saw Dean in a background shot, and so was muchly confused. Really, would it have hurt to give all the special lines to one of the characters we know and *ahem* love?

And I meant my canon comment to mean roughly the same thing as yours. There's no possible way it could be considered canon. And...grr...I could go on much longer, but I still need to finish my paper...I'll write up my own review then. Yeah.

Heh. I was slightly intoxicated when I replied to that comment and may have been just a bit strenuous in my objections to all things Remus/Sirius... All apologies! :P
