Drabble: Broken

May 10, 2004 21:35

So, seeing as Sirius and I do not get along (and seeing as I should be doing all sorts of things besides writing fic), I challenged myself to write a drabble about my all-time most hated pairing. (Please refrain from hurling tomatoes). I guess writing it wasn't all that bad, but I'm not sure I can say the same for the results ( Read more... )

Hmm....I'm ambivalent, hate to say. Will not be throwing tomatoes, though. Because you did try. And I like the sentiment, I'm just not too fond of the words. Specifically, the 'explosions' paragraph. Sorry.

Somehow I knew that would be your least favorite. ;)

Alas, I think this pairing and I are through after this brief and passionless affair. I really just can't get into it.

Thanks for your honesty, yo!

Thanks! I think it's a bit cliche (a bit?!), but I'm glad it appeals to someone who knows far more about the pairing than I.

As for Sirius, my heart belongs to Snivellus, so Sirius will always be a right bastard in my eyes. No accounting for taste, indeed. ;)

For someone who hates the pairing (::whimpers::) you certainly did it justice. I adore the way you connected the events of his betrayal to the more personal betrayal, and the progression of the strength of its effect. Lovely work. :)

Muahahaha, I icon you! <3

Thank you! I had a horrible time trying to think of three aspects of the incident to mirror so I'm glad it came off ok.

NOOO my eyes! Not an icon! But I guess it's ok cuz it's fan art and at least that's better than Oldman/Thewlis (ugh...). ;)

If I am ever willingly in the possession of an Oldman/Thewlis icon, you have permission to shoot me in the head. Well, this one notwithstanding.

I've never really gotten into Sirius/Remus either, so I'm not likely to reach for the tomatoes. Besides, I liked it. Thought the explosion analogy was a good one and you used it well. It was intense, for something so short.

Thank you! I take solace in you, oh fellow Snape/Lupin shipper. There are not enough of us out there to balance the Sirius/Remus-ers out. :)
