It's August and I'm home from medieval manuscript summer camp! I did terribly as far as posting about my doings in July, so I'm going to start to remedy that by posting right now

Aww, I'm sorry that Branford wasn't good to you! At least it's pretty on the outside? (I was in Morse, one of the modern peanut-brittle-looking ones.) And the rest of the week sounds awesome. Actual manuscript mystery solving! Making quills and ink! You could totally do some forgeries, following in the best traditions of medieval monks :)
Not to worry! I'm definitely not judging all of Yale on summer accommodations at Branford (maybe I'm judging conference services a little...). It seems like it would be an excellent place as an undergrad (or a grad student), and in Yale's favor, it gave me as a Rare Book School participant some extremely sweet and comprehensive library access privileges, in contrast to certain other universities I could name, and their extensive and jealously-guarded main libraries, which I have never even been permitted to enter.
