So, today has been another enjoyable day of holidays. Morgayne and I started it by hiking the BX Falls Trail this morning, and it's more or less ending with me posting here, in advance of going to bed the better to get up tomorrow morning for breakfast sandwiches with the full quorum of siblings, and then walk the Grey Canal Trail with Morgayne

Beautiful pics! Would love to see some pics of the fire, too, but that's partly a professional interest. :)

Thanks! I haven't had a lot of success taking pictures of the fire because it's across the valley and the smoke in the air makes picture-taking difficult. I didn't get any of the flames last night, but here's one of the smoke the other day after the fire jumped a fire break:
