Last semester I had a class with Professor Margret Maurer on Shakespeare. It was absolutely fantastic, particularly because she was quirk and reminds me soooooo much of Professor Trelawny from Harry Potter. But what made her teaching style work while being female was that she was always excited to come and teach up, talked to us like we were adults and not like little kids (I never really knew how much innuendo was in Shakespeare until that class), and she was simply incredibly smart behind all her geeky glee over Shakespeare. And it was that, wow, this person is brilliant no matter how eccentric she is, that made it work well. That and she was always willing to talk to you.
