Sometimes mine comes on Thursday, and sometimes on Friday. It's a great issue, all about the 2020 Entertainers of the Year. There are a couple of pics of John Hamm that are to die for. Seriously.
But I'm asking the same question anyway, because Friday means Smallville!! :)
I love your journal header! I'm using my Michael Shanks icon, because it's Chanukah and it's the only one I have, though. But seriously, I have never loved Fridays more!
It feels rushed to me, too. It's not my preference for it all to happen so fast, but I do think it's in character for Smallville's Clark. It was enough for me to see the rings on Lois's finger in the Salvation teaser, but I've reconciled myself to the engagement in the weeks since Ambush, and, after seeing this pic, I'm even looking forward to it now. I just hope it's good! :)
I'm struggling with my answer to your question, because I agree with everything you say. I think Bride was the moment Clark first realized his feelings for Lois went far deeper than friendship, even though he went back to Lana later, and I think he was honoring that when he set the stage to tell her he loved her at the end of Homecoming. I don't doubt their commitment to one another, and I do think the show has done an admirable job of letting us see their feelings grow over the years. But I feel like we've seen Lois loving Clark but keeping it mostly to herself over here, and Clark loving Lois the same way over there, and not so much of them exploring their feelings for each other together until very recently. I wonder how either of them can know what we know; we've watched both sides, while for many episodes they each only saw one

No more weddings for anyone on SV - I can't sit through another one.
Agreed! They are a complete waste of precious screen time!
Do you know what one of my first thoughts was after I saw this pic? How much fun the Clex manip artists are going to have with it when the HQ version is released! :)
I do wish they could have just explored more about why this relationship with Lois is going to work unlike all the other relationships Clark has been in that didn't.
That's something I would have really liked to see onscreen. But I also agree with you that this totally fits Clark's MO.
I just think the wedding would be a waste of what little screen time we have left, when we all know it's a foregone conclusion. And this engagement is rushed enough; having a wedding follow so closely on the heels of it, and before Clark becomes Superman, would be pushing things too far, IMO.

My header was made, as all my headers are, by the fabulous Deb (fotw_sv)! It's a Christmas wallie she shared a couple of years ago.
