I'm so glad you saw Alicia in the student file too! I was watching with my crazy glasses of awesome to catch that on the first watching! I was really proud of myself and you should be too!

I really loved this episode and I actually watched it like 5 times... you know me, I don't usually do that but I LOVED this episode soooooooo much! Right before Clark said "I love you" I was like OMG TELL HER YOU LOVE HER and HE DID!!! I was squeeing soooo hard and I knew you would be too... I also loved on the roof when Lois says to him "oh, you make me so crazy..." because I was like OMFG MEEEEEEEEEEEEE TOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Anyway, that's all I got to say about that for right this second. ;)

I'm a big Alicia fan, so her pic popped right out at me. I had to pause the episode to figure out the other one. :)

I was spoiled for the ILYs (they were in a preview clip), but I'm not sorry about that. Knowing the scene was coming just made me anticipate it that much more. That rooftop scene was so interesting to me, because obviously the relationship between Clark and Lois in the future is on a whole different level, and our Clark just jumped right in and loved it. I think there's a lot of pent-up emotion between these two, and I'll be curious to see if telling all their secrets finally opens the floodgates.

I originally said I wasn't going to read anyone's Homecoming review, but I decided to read yours and it was a good choice. You always have such a wonderful way with words.

Because I was away, I've only watched the episode once, but I hope to remedy that soon. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks for the review and for posting the beautiful screen caps!

I saw your comment about not reading reviews. I'm relieved mine didn't ruin your enjoyment of the episode. Thanks for your sweet comment!

I was away, too, and it also took me a long time to articulate my reaction to this episode. My response was very emotional, and hard for me to put into words.

Did you go any place interesting? Business or pleasure?

Even though you said this was a hard review to write, you'd never know it from reading it. I really enjoy reading your writing. *showers you with compliments*

I didn't actually go anywhere, but RL drama kept me almost entirely offline and away from my shows for five days. I haven't even begun to catch up.

Awww! *blushes* Thank you! You make all my struggles worthwhile. A couple of times I almost gave up on this one.

Thanks so much! I've been feeling out of touch with fandom lately, so it's nice to hear I'm not out here all alone with my opinions. :)

I hope the dark stuff truly is over. I never know how to take what Brian and Kelly say (and in fact I've deliberately stopped reading their interviews, to keep my head from exploding any more than it has to).

I have so much admiration for Tom right now. His performance makes me love Clark more than ever, and has also made it possible for me to discount all this talk of darkness. And he was beyond wonderful in Homecoming. He's probably the busiest he's ever been in his life, and still he manages to reach new heights with his acting, and give us his best in every episode. He's such an amazing man.

Thanks for your review. Just like you I am torn between the emotional part of my brain which enjoyed the episode for sentimental reasons, for the fun and of course for Tom´s performance, and my rational brain which saw quite a number of WTFs. Moreover, it is sort of "my" episode because I had the luck to witness some of the scenes when they were filmed this summer. So Homecoming will always be special to me.

On the other hand I am sort of disappointed because Homecoming showed once more how uncreative these writers are. #200 starts almost like #150: Clark being depressed and almost about to give up. Then we get a glimpse of the future and he´s happy again. Haven´t we seen enough of that yet? S&P have no new ideas at all. Not one. "Tear down Clark, however contrived, to build him up again". Yawn.

Ok. and here is my shallow and dirty confession: I can´t help it but each time I watch the elevator scene I am thinking that these two hot Clarks should immediately make out with each other, right there in the elevator. ;))

Oh, I would think you would have to love this episode, just because you were there! I've been wondering, could you match up what you saw onscreen with what you saw being filmed?

I agree that Homecoming revisited themes we've seen on the show before, and I had issues with continuity with previous episodes, aspects of the storyline that just didn't make sense, and the way TPTB went about setting up this episode, particularly in Lazarus and Supergirl. But the setting was fresh in a lot of ways, the flash forward was a treat, and Tom and Erica were so much fun. And you know how easy I am! :)

I can´t help it but each time I watch the elevator scene I am thinking that these two hot Clarks should immediately make out with each other, right there in the elevator.

Oh, you KNOW someone is writing that fic right now! :D I still remember the flood of Lex/Alexander fics that were inspired by Onyx.

>I've been wondering, could you match up what you saw onscreen with what you saw being filmed?<

Yes, three times! One scene at the school (to my chagrine I just flew in the first day they shot at the school, so I missed the big arrival scene), the helicopter scene and the sence with TW and JM at the graveyard. I must say though that there is no reasonable relation between the time they spend on shooting these scenes and the few seconds that show up on screen. Filming seems to be an amazing waste of work and time! lol
