Yes, Clark may have been a little geeky at times, but he was not bumbling at all. It´s for sure the writers don´t watch the show or they don´t care. Nothing against Reeve, but I hate that they try to simply imitate his Clark.

Nonetheless, Homecoming looks somewhat promising while Isis looks like it has fail written all over it...

The only time I can remember him being bumbling is in the pilot, when he fell because of Lana's necklace. Although Chloe knew it was going to happen, so maybe that was commonplace. But by the end of high school he was the star quarterback. It's just silly to characterize him that way.

I am looking forward to Homecoming. Isis looks beyond cheesy, and a poor choice for the big reveal (if that actually happens), but even after Supergirl, I'm trying to keep an open mind.

I think they won't have Lois play the jealousy card, as much as "Crap, you didn't want to come here, but I talked you into it, but forgot all about how you were with Lana in high school and someone might bring THAT up and ruin my attempt to cheer you up." Or something like that.

And YES, Clark's female classmates were most certainly BLIND.

I think you're right. Watching it again, she seems more apologetic than anything else. I tell you, I'm still so rattled by Supergirl, I'm completely gun-shy when it comes to this show. I expect the worst at every turn.

We did see some cute girls flirt with Clark (in vain) in S4, but other than that they seemed oblivious to him. Which was always ridiculous! Even with those horrible haircuts they kept giving him. :)

I never understood the whole high school geek thing. Tom Welling is gorgeous and always has been- how could that have been ignored in high school?

No kidding! I suppose he might have been seen as a bit odd, with the way he was always disappearing without warning or explanation, and his penchant for ending up in the middle of crazy situations, but he was better looking than any other boy on the planet, much less at Smallville High! :) Like Clark himself, I would call him more of an outsider than a geek or a nerd. And gorgeous, mysterious outsiders are HOT.

The outsiders are ALWAYS hot, damn it! Those Smallville girls must have been blind, deaf and dumb not to notice him.

I'm sure the director had to constantly remind the extras not to stare and drool, to keep the illusion alive. ;)

Lois's disgruntlement at not being remembered for her 2 weeks at SV High is funny. But the reaction to Lana's nametag, I don't understand - she was calmly looking at photos of Lana in Lazarus, not rattled at all. Why would a nametag upset her, with no Lana in sight?

I don't get "bumbling". Clark had plenty of admirers in high school, meteor-fueled and otherwise. Apart from the scarecrowing in ep#1, I don't remember him as anything but well-liked by the other students. His scorching hotness helped!

Nice to see James Marsters again. *fingers crossed he's put to better use than Laura V*

From the clip, it sounds like she's more or less castigating herself for not realizing/thinking about the possibility that Lana would be at the reunion and that seeing Lana again might make Clark sad(der) (I mean, you and I know that Lana isn't showing up, but Lois doesn't know that; for all Lois knows, Lana just isn't there yet).
But if Clark didn't want to go for Lana-reasons, he'd just tell her, wouldn't he? The impression I got is Lois was rattled on her own behalf which is puzzling because she's always been sensible about Lana, not jealous at all. Maybe it will make more sense in context? Or it's just a set-up for a Lana-renunciation by Clark?

I guess Kelly & Bri, our writers for Homecoming, forgot all about Clark being a popular senior that was captain of the football team. Its so odd to me that they have so much trouble remembering the details.

Lois' dress continues to be one of the worst, cheapest looking garments I've ever seen on SV. Whoever put Erica is that Forever 21 outfit needs a slap in the head.

And, in the Isis still? Poor Erica looks very, very silly. Whats with the Snookie pouf? And the outfit looks like a costume from one of those Halloween places that pop up in October, and then quickly disappear in November.

And I'm all for Smallville the movie...on one important condition....Souders and Peterson aren't allowed anywhere near it.

First rule of writing a show: WATCH THE SHOW. Including the episodes that YOU wrote, back in the day.

Ken Biller + Greg Beeman would be my pick!

That really is inexcusable. He was the opposite of how that girl remembers him.

I'm the furthest thing from a fashionista, but I'll admit that the first thing I thought of when I saw that dress was my middle school Home Ec fashion show, where we all modeled the outfits we had made in class.

I think Erica must be the best sport in the history of television. She takes every one of these crazy getups they hand her and makes the best of it. And most of the time she pulls it off. My favorite one of all time is still the storm trooper from Warrior. Not only for the costume itself, but also for how adorable Lois was in the scenes where she wore it.
