Maybe this new, media-friendly Tom will stick around, and do some interviews for the season premiere, or the 200th episode. Although with Smallville and Hellcats both in production, I doubt he'll have even a minute to spare. SDCC and the TCAs were a big enough deal to warrant his presence, and I'm beyond thankful for that.
I appreciate so much that he addressed the fears we've had, and so directly. My dream of seeing Tom on the big screen after Smallville can live on!
He takes every question seriously, never falling back on some rote answer, or brushing the interviewer off. He truly seems to care that their experience is a positive and meaningful one. He's a class act, in every way.
I know it makes me feel a lot of better to actually see him articulate that he plans to continue acting. Someone did ask him a question at the panel as to what his future plans were, but all he said was Hellcats. So, its nice to have the question addressed more specifically.
He said something similar in print, to the WSJ, but it's totally different seeing him say it in person. There's no question of him being misquoted or misunderstood, and you can see in his eyes the truth of what he says. It's exciting to me not only that he intends to continue acting, but also that he wants his fans to know!
He's adorable! Love that smile. It's wonderful news, and, truth be told, it makes it a lot easier to reconcile myself to the idea of Smallville ending. I'm so excited to see what lies ahead for Tom. There are so many possibilities!

I think, however, that this is the last of the Tommy interviews. It was glorious while it lasted!
