Pretend it's Friday and this post is not in fact late.
I actually had a bit of trouble deciding who to do this week. Then I finally decided upon one of the ladies from my childhood. I give you... a Disney Princess.
You know, I have to admit in recent years she hasn't been my favourite disney princess.
I think that *may* have something to do with "The Little Mermaid" anime adaptation which Studio Ghibli did called "Ponyo." They were a bit closer to the source material (ie. they made reference to her turning to sea foam if the boy didn't reciprocate her love), but they changed her into a 5 year-old girl. It's cute, but when you really think about it it's ridiculous that she "fell in love" at such a young age (speaking of "Ponyo" here not Ariel ;) ).
Having read your article(?), I think I like Ariel a bit more than I did before and for a reason you might not have mentioned: she's a fangirl herself (a collector of all things human :D ). So thank-you ^-^

Oh Ariel is a total fangirl. Someone once called her a "weeaboo for human culture" which I think is pretty apt.
