I don't know if I have the will to wade through all the slash to find it (if it exists)

No to your question, but I do have a movie rec that you might enjoy (if you don't know it already) which is a funny spoof of Sherlock Holmes - but an extremely well done one. It is called "Without a clue" and features Ben Kingsley as Dr. Watson and Michael Caine as Holmes.
